Terms of Service

Last updated September 23, 2026

These terms cover using the Willowhush app. They're written in plain language on purpose — read the callouts if you only have a minute.

1 Acceptance of terms

By downloading or using the Willowhush app (the "App"), you agree to these terms. If you're setting up the App for a child, you're agreeing on their behalf as their parent or guardian — the App's account and subscription are always held by the adult.

2 What the App does

Willowhush is a screen-free audio storytelling app: narrated bedtime stories, ambient soundscapes, a sleep timer, and offline downloads, meant to be played and then set aside rather than watched.

3 Who can use it

The App is intended for use by adults 18 and older, on behalf of themselves or a child in their care. Children may listen to the App's content, but the account, subscription, and purchases belong to the adult who set it up — there's no separate child account.

4 Subscriptions and billing

Premium access is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, billed through your Apple ID:

PlanPriceRenews
Monthly$4.99Every month
Yearly$39.99Every year
Billing is handled entirely by Apple. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in your device's Apple ID settings under Subscriptions. Refunds are issued by Apple according to their own policies — we don't process payments or refunds directly, and can't override Apple's refund decisions.

5 Free and Premium content

A portion of the story catalogue is free to every listener. Stories and features marked "Pro" require an active subscription. Once you subscribe, Pro content unlocks across the App for as long as your subscription stays active; it locks again if the subscription lapses.

6 Content and ownership

The stories, narration, artwork, and design of the App are owned by the developer. Your subscription gives you a personal license to listen within the App — it doesn't give you rights to copy, redistribute, resell, or extract the audio or text for use outside the App.

7 Acceptable use

The App is for personal, non-commercial, household use. Please don't attempt to circumvent the subscription system, redistribute downloaded content, or use the App in a way that disrupts it for other listeners.

8 Availability and changes

The story catalogue is hosted remotely so it can grow over time — stories may be added, and occasionally removed or replaced. A first load of new content needs a network connection; anything you've already downloaded keeps working offline regardless.

9 No warranty

The App is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times, and we aren't responsible for outages caused by your device, network, or Apple's own services.

10 Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the App.

11 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12 Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
